Covid 19 Initiatives

2020 was an extraordinary year as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, which had a global impact. The mining industry and other industries were adversely impacted as a result of the National State of Disaster, declared by the State President, which placed the country under Lockdown.

During this period, KMR in collaboration with Kumba, Assmang, and South32 under the Shared Value Initiative, assisted communities in the JTG District respond to the COVID-19 Pandemic. SIOC-cdt and Kathu Solar Park also joined in this collaborative initiative.
